six months ago i had never heard of lalaloopsy...
my daughter's love for these dolls actually began with a potty-training bargain--
you know the kind, "if you stay dry all day, you can pick out any toy from target".

luckily, i think the lalaloopsy dolls are super-cute, so it made for a really sweet theme to work with when she told me she wanted a lalaloopsy birthday party...
decorations...
lalaloopsy inspired banner...used my cameo to cut out dresses and button), clothespins with buttons glued on, tulle & ribbon, and the lalaloopsy dolls and circles came off the packaging of the birthday girls' presents ;)
table decorations...i loved the lalaloopsy ferris wheel & fun house and saw the idea of using them as a decoration on pinterest... the birthday girl didn't seem to mind at all that i used two of her gifts as party decor :)
i found these large wooden spools at HL and thought they would be a cute addition to the decorations...i wrapped twine around them and attached the cut-out circles to a stripey straw which fit perfect in the spool's hole. luckily alison has an "o" in her name.
the birthday girl's big sis wanted in on the decorating fun...so she painted a colorful rainbow on an 11x14 canvas...and for fun added the party invitation (from shutterfly) and lalaloopsy stickers. i hung her masterpiece on the wall in the party room...and post-party it's looking pretty cute up in the birthdays girl's room.
a few other fun decorations...the burlap banner i made using scraps and things in my craft room {stencil, paint, fabric scraps, ribbon, etc.} the fabric/ribbon/tulle wreath was an idea inspired by pinterest. and of course...hair decorations for the girls! these i purchased from etsy: http://www.etsy.com/shop/LivelyGirlDesigns
dessert table...
the dessert table was a lot of fun...the cupcakes, including the lalaloopsy jumbo
cupcake for the b-day girl and the famous toffee came from
The chocolate button lollipops (made from a candy mold) were another pinterest-inspired idea.

thanks "sew" much for stopping by!
